About the Hares Ear Preserve plat:
Hares Ear Preserve is divided up into six proportionately-sized parcels for building, 10.62 acres of open space and a 1.5 acre community owned parcel for Hares Ear Lane, utility easements, and a buffer to the neighboring property.Even though more lots could have been submitted, it was decided that limiting the development to six building lots would ensure a western charm missing from larger developments, give room to spare, lessen the burden on wildlife and uphold the rural natural beauty of the land. Lots are up on a ridge to be out of the floodplain (something to consider when buying river property).
